Pomme Salon Second Annual Feed The Hungry with:
Every year we try to support a ministry that is adding value to our communities. This value has no other place than Love. We must as communities in the US and around the world provide support for people who are in hard places. There is no other greater blessing than to show love to "your neighbor". During the Christmas and Hanukkah seasons we should truly express how great our God is by lending a helping hand. This is the best season of the year because it really is a time of reflection and thankfulness in all we have been blessed with.
Now just "Google" some of your local ministries that are involved in your area. Find one you want to help financially, or be an able body and volunteer. Don't spend so much time getting ready to do this. Just volunteer any way you can. Get started! Get going!
History in the making AND making a difference
Founder Shannon Paul started in the beauty industry 24 years ago. Three days after leaving the United States Navy he began beauty school. Coming from a family line of hair designers, Shannon started this journey at his uncle’s salon, formerly known as Don Shaw Hairdressers, now operating as DASS Salon and Spa in Atlanta, GA. He states that his Uncle, Don Shaw, was a contributing factor to his success in the industry. In March 2008, he founded Pomme Salon with the desire to serve his community and invest in people, so they too can live and learn their passion.
Shannon strives to innovate the foundation of the salon industry. Eager to be consistently growing and creative, he searched for a product line that shared the same values as he does. Shannon said,“I was also looking for a company that values our industry by giving back through continuous education and holds the environment and health of our guests as a priority. I found that AVEDA is an innovative company and a brand that can be trusted by the hairstylist and our guests."
Pomme Salon became an AVEDA concept salon in 2014, encouraging a cleaner and healthier environment. With 2019 being the year of health, people are more aware of the chemicals in their beauty products. AVEDA was one of the first company’s to encourage a greater environmental responsibility back in 1978 and has continued their mission by producing products that are cruelty-free and with naturally derived ingredients. Furthermore, AVEDA's educational support and the importance they place for the guests’ experience conform to Pomme’s top priorities. Pomme's technical expertise and superior service proves that the guests' experience is equally important, "We strive to make each guests' experience memorable and a place they feel comfortable to bring their family to. We have created a culture where our team members live their passion, cares for the environment and the people that live in it."
So, why choose Pomme Salon you ask? The culture is to exceed the guests’ expectations with each visit. The guests’ experience is their top priority. The salon strives to stand out among other salons with an engaged experience. With that being said, those extra little touches go a long way, such as Pomme’s complimentary hand and scalp massage, the professional consultation to determine your hair goals, and their professional opinion to help you reach those goals. Pomme is established with experts that exemplify professionalism and are committed to the highest technical standards with an emphasis on your experience.
Shannon Paul’s vision for Pomme Salon is to create a place of creativity and passion, a place where the stylist can follow their dreams, grow in their career and serve people by making them feel beautiful and valuable. Pomme doesn’t hire employees, they hire team members with a goal to be a Pomme salon owner and with a mindset to make an impact in their community. Education is a top priority at Pomme, therefore, each team member receives the benefit of in-salon education as well as the encouragement to advance in their gifts and roles in the salon. We encourage all the team members to become a part of the education team, so they too can pass on their knowledge and expertise. It is said,“to teach is to learn twice over”. Therefore, Pomme encourages everyone to take a part in “awakening” the other team members, so everyone plays an integral part in increasing the salon’s reach to make a greater impact on people’s lives in the community.
In addition to recruiting top students from the beauty schools in the area, Pomme created an apprenticeship program where they hire select individuals to apprentice. The apprenticeship program allows an individual to earn their master cosmetology license in an 18-month program allowing the students to earn while they learn; it’s a great alternative to beauty school. If you are interested in an apprenticeship program, please send a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pomme also supports many charities and ministries in the community for the purpose of giving back and reaching people in need. The most recent venture, Pomme has partnered with Cobb Street Ministries, a women and children's shelter. If you would like to know how you can partner with Pomme to help women and children in need, please follow Pomme on facebook and instagram, or call the salon to speak with the Salon Director, Courtney Moore, to find out how you can make a difference too.
